Introduction to Esports

Summit Academy Charter School’s Esports Lab is a result of the partnership and efforts of Summit’s Leadership Team and the Center for Educational Innovation’s Esports Division (https://www.ceiesports.com/home) Summit has a fully equipped and operational Gaming laboratory designed to support students who are interested in the world of Gaming, as well as competitive Esports teams.  Our students can earn elective credits toward graduation, as well as  participate in after-school sessions for fun and engagement. We hope to graduate students who will pursue degree programs in Game Design, as well as those who will pursue competitive Esports opportunities.  We are currently sponsoring tournaments for NBA 2K, FIFA, and Super Smash Bros.  In May, our 2K team competes at the Microsoft Center and Samsung Center in NYC.  Please take a look at the photos in our gallery below to feel the excitement.
